HEAD: TAG to host Austin City Council Candidate forum and meet-and-greet
Texans for Accountable Government (TAG) will be hosting an Austin city council candidate forum and meet-and-greet on Monday, September 29, 2014, at 6 PM at Sherlock’s Baker Street Pub at 9012 Research Blvd. TAG will host many candidates running for the 10 district seats. The event’s purpose is to give TAG members the opportunity to ask the candidates the questions that are important to them.
“TAG is excited to take part in Austin’s first election under the 10-1 districting format,” said Justin Arman, TAG’s Executive Director. “We look forward to finding out more about the candidates and their views on Austin’s future.”
The candidates scheduled to attend include Council Member Kathie Tovo, Michael Cargill, Delia Garza, Edward Reyes, Kent Phillips, Laura Pressley, Don Zimmerman, Ed English, Eliza May, Erin McGann, and Bill Worsham, and more.
Following introductions, a moderator will ask the candidates questions submitted by TAG member attendees. After the question-and-answer period, the candidates will set up their materials at separate tables and attendees will be able to meet the candidates and ask them questions in a more informal set up.
The forum and meet-and-greet is open to the public. We look forward to seeing you there!
