By Julie Wilson: A 19-year old former football player, with a clean record from Round Rock, Texas, has been charged with a first-degree felony for making and selling pot brownies. Jacob Lavoro faces up to life in prison if convicted. Lavoro’s attorney, Jack Holmes, who’s a lawyer of 22 years, and has 10 years experience as a former police officer, said he’s never heard of charges like these and is outraged. KHON2 News reported the charges are so severe due to the use of hash oil. Texas was able to include the brownie’s ingredients to determine the weight of the “drugs.” Mr. Holmes said he’s prepared to fight.
